Single Parents
Are Valued & Loved!

We see our commitment developing in five phases:
PHASE 1: Providing events and assistance. Pastor Ed continually reminds us that "we do not have to be large in order to be effective!" So from the very beginning we have offered events like Mommy & Me Matinee, Mom's Day Out, Christmas Feast In A Box, Mother's Day Gift Cards, Single Mothers Support Group, etc. We are currently in Phase One of our four step plan.
PHASE 2: Providing cars to single mothers. It is our goal, during the years 2009/2010, to begin receiving cars by way of donation from people who want to partner with us in offering REAL help to single mothers. We will provide mechanical diagnostics and repairs so that the cars are functioning and ready to present to single mothers and their children.
PHASE 3: Developing A Mentoring Program For Children Of Single Parents. We know that single parents need support on a lot of levels – one of those levels is with their children. Children need positive, healthy role-models, and we want to come alongside to say: “We’re here to help!” We will develop an organized, managed ministry that offers mentors who are eager and trained to provide mentoring assistance so that single parents are not going it alone.
PHASE 4: No-Cost Housing. From the inception of our birth as a church, it was the commitment of our founding partners to construct housing for single parents before constructing a building for ourselves. We believe that low-cost to no-cost housing can free up valuable resources for single parents to provide other essentials for their children; like childcare, healthcare, dental and optical care, extra curricular school fees, etc. Most single parents have negligable financial margins for raising their children; we want to bridge the gap for them with housing that can make life a lot easier!
PHASE 5: Preschool/Daycare. It is our ambition, following our development of low-cost to no-cost housing, to offer another element of assistance to single parents that is a major expense for them -- early childhood education and daycare. We intend to develop a state-of-the art Preschool/Daycare that is available to parents throughout the community, with special financial consideration for single parents.
